A simple equation for change

The Master Shift is a simple math equation. For example,

(+1) + (-9) = (-8)

where + is the interplay and = is the manifestation.

In this equation, (+1) is our own energy impact and (-9) is the impact of the other, or of collective forces. As we can see, the outcome is dominated by that other or collective force because of their higher intensity. This is a natural, uninterrupted outcome – what unfolds when nothing within us changes.

But what if we desire a different outcome? Say, for the same connection or interplay, we desire the outcome to be (+5) in place of (-8). Now, since (-9) is the outside force, we have no control over it in any way. What we do hold in our hand is the power to raise and rise – from (+1) to (+14). And now the equation looks like:

(+14) + (-9) = (+5)

Simple, isn’t it? This is what I call the Master Shift – the ancient principle the yogis knew as Yog, expressed as a formula anyone can live by.

Chhatrapati Shivaji: a living example of the Master Shift

The Master Shift is not just a spiritual principle – it is the science of energy dynamics in action. It is the interplay of forces that shapes destiny, whether personal or collective. One of the most profound historical examples of this is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s battle to establish Swarajya, self-rule, against the mighty Mughal empire.

At the time, the Mughals under Aurangzeb were a dominant and oppressive force – a formidable (-9), a collective energy of tyranny, manipulation, and immense power. In contrast, Shivaji was a young leader, the son of a small subedar, with limited resources but an unshakable (+1) energy – pure, selfless, and deeply rooted in dharma, in righteousness.

Had Shivaji merely fought with equal force, he would have been overpowered. But he understood the secret of the Master Shift – the ability to elevate one’s inner and outer force beyond external limitations. Instead of surrendering to the imbalance, he systematically raised his energy from (+1) to (+14).

How he raised his force

He did it by innovating guerrilla warfare, mastering new strategies that outmaneuvered larger, stronger forces. He did it by building a unified vision, inspiring people with a mission greater than personal ambition – freedom, self-rule, and the preservation of dharma. He did it by harnessing the power of purpose; his intent was pure and selfless, rooted in collective welfare rather than personal gain, and this amplified his force manifold. And he did it by mastering mental and strategic strength – he did not just fight battles, he played the game of energy, channeling deep inner wisdom into action.

As a result, the seemingly insurmountable (-9) of the Mughal Empire was neutralized by his elevated force, leading to the establishment of Hindavi Swarajya – a testament to how an individual, when aligned with higher purpose and self-mastery, can alter the course of history.

The equation in action

This is the Master Shift, the interplay of energies at work:

(+1) Shivaji’s initial energy against (-9), the dominant force of oppression, would have meant an overwhelming defeat if left unchanged. But by raising his inner and outer energy to (+14), he shifted the equation and reversed the outcome in his favour:

(+14) Shivaji’s elevated force + (-9) the external force = (+5): Victory, Swarajya, and a lasting legacy.

This is how the Master Shift works – not by resisting the external, but by transcending it. Not by merely wishing for change, but by becoming deserving of it.

We are architects, not victims

Shivaji Maharaj is a timeless example that we are never victims of circumstances – we are architects of our own destiny, as long as we rise to the level of the outcome we seek.

History documents itself through countless such examples. This is how great leaders have shaped the course of our lives, until we begin to work on ourselves to arrive at different outcomes by invoking the higher force inside of us. This is how any one of us can overpower the collective force – be it society, situations, or environment. We can manifest what we desire. It is not just about what we attract; it is about how we elevate our state to become deserving of that very outcome.

Purity is the multiplier

Of course, our purity and selflessness in the results we seek counts more than anything else. The deeper the purpose of collective growth, the higher the chances of significance, and the wider the circle of impact.

This is my expression of how we can elevate. The first part of the sum represents our own state of being. And how we elevate ourselves – how we make the Master Shift – comes down to a simple, sacred formula:
